II-A-5. ARTHUR HAMPTON SEIBERT (1872 – 1964), son of Isaac Lasseter Sibert3 (George2, John David1)

Arthur Hampton Seibert was born on 1 September 1872 in Abbeville, South Carolina. He died on 23 March 1964. [1] He married Minna June Etter about 1900. She was born on 9 June 1874 in Tennessee. She died on 16 November 1953. Arthur and Minna are buried in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Perry, Taylor County, Florida. [2]

According to his obituary, A.H. was born in Abbeville and died at the home of his daughter, age 91, after a long illness. [3]

The inscriptions on Arthur and Minna's gravestones say: [2]

A.H. moved to Perry in 1901 and worked for a railroad company for 40 years. [3]

According to the census, on 16 May 1910, Arthur H., aged 37 and born in South Carolina, and Minnie J., aged 34 and born in Tennessee, lived in a rented house on Washington Street in Perry with their children Arthur H., aged seven and born in Georgia; Junilla, aged four and born in Florida; and Jack, aged one and born in Florida. They had been married for nine years, and had had three children. Arthur, Sr. was a depot agent and Arthur, Jr. attended school. [4]

On 15 January 1920, Arthur H., aged 47, and Minna, aged 45, lived in their own house in Perry with their children Henry A., aged 17; Junetta[?], aged 13; and Jack D., aged ten. Arthur was a railroad agent and the children attended school. [4]

On 4 April 1930, Aurther, aged 57, and Minna, aged 55, lived in their own house on Washington Street in Perry with their son Henry, aged 26; their son Jack, aged 20; their son-in-law, Wilson Hendry; and their daughter June. Wilson and Aurther did not work, and Henry and Jack attended school. [4]

On 9 April 1940, Arthur H., aged 67, and Minna June, aged 65, lived in their own house on Washington Street in Perry—the same place they lived on 1 April 1935. Arthur was the mayor of Perry. [4]

On 7 April 1950, Arthur H., aged 77, and June Etter, aged 75, lived on S. Washington Street in Perry. Arthur had completed two years of college. [4]

According to his obituary, A.H. was survived by his daughter Mrs. W.T. Hendry of Perry, his son Arthur of Perry, his son Jack of Brooksville, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was a former mayor and city clerk. [3]

II-A-5-a. Arthur Henry Seibert was born on 18 November 1902 in Quitman, Georgia. [5][6] He died in December 1978. [5] He married Helen Catherine Millet in 1935 in Dade County. [7] She was born in 1902 in Louisiana and died in 1992. Arthur and Helen are interred in the Gardon of Memories in Metairie, Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. [2]

According to the census, on 1 April 1935, Arthur lived in Chaparra, Cuba. On 20 April 1940, Arthur, aged 37, and Helen, aged 35 and born in Louisiana, lived in a rented place at 1633 First Street in New Orleans with their daughter, Susan, aged one and born in Lousiana. Arthur was a chemist at a laboratory company. [4]

On 11 April 1950, Arthur H., aged 48, and Helen M., aged 45, lived in an apartment at 1633 First Street in New Orleans with their daughter Susan, T., aged 11. Arthur was a research chemist at a laboratory. [4]

Children of Arthur Henry Sibert and Helen L. Millet:

i. Helen Taylor Seibert was born on 24 October 1938 in Louisiana and died on 26 August 1992. [2] She is interred in the Metairie Cemetery in New Orleans. [2] She married [possibly living].

II-A-5-b. June Seibert was born on 24 July 1905 in Florida and died in June 1983. [5] She married Wilson Hendry about 1927. Wilson was born on 1 July 1900 in Florida and died in October 1966. [5]

On 4 April 1930, Wilson, aged 28 and born in Florida; and June, aged 24, lived with June's parents in Perry. Wilson and June had married when they were aged 26 and 24. Wilson was a chiropractor, and June was the society editor for a newspaper. [4]

II-A-5-a. Jack Davis Sibert was born on 25 May 1909 in Florida. He died on 13 September 1988. He is buried in the Woodlawn Cemetery. [2] He married Frances C. Lingle. [2] She was born on 20 April 1915. She died on 1 August 2009. She is buried in the Brooksville Cemetery in Brooksville, Hernando County, Florida. [2]
